Company profile

Chevron Corporation is a global enterprise engaged in comprehensive energy and chemical operations. The company's activities are divided into two primary divisions: Upstream and Downstream. The Upstream segment is dedicated to the exploration, development, production, and transportation of crude oil and natural gas. This includes the full spectrum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations, from processing and liquefaction to transportation and regasification, alongside crude oil pipeline transport, and the storage, movement, and marketing of natural gas. Additionally, Chevron manages its own cash and debt financing, insurance services, real estate holdings, and technology development. Founded in 1879, Chevron Corporation, headquartered in San Ramon, California, was formerly known as ChevronTexaco Corporation before adopting its current name in 2005.
